Katy Ford

Katy began studying piano at the age of nine, and when she was in high school, would often procrastinate writing papers by practicing the piano. It became her respite. She studied piano at The Masters College, graduating with a Bachelors degree in 2008. Her instructors graduated from Eastman School of Music, Indiana University, University of Southern California and more.

She, unfortunately, developed a tendon injury and has spent years relearning how to play with correct technique using the Taubman approach to prevent and actually help heal her injury.
She taught piano lessons before having kids and is excited to start teaching again! She focuses on beginning and intermediate students, helping them with sight reading, music theory and proper technique, but most importantly having fun. Music should bring enjoyment to our lives!
