How do I see your Member Handbook before I join?

How does Eastside Homeschool PTSA work?
Eastside Homeschool PTSA is a member-run organization. That means that as a cooperative member, you have a voice in what classes, clubs, and social events you’d like to see offered here. It also means that you take responsibility for a small part of the care, maintenance, and growth of our organization. Members participate in planning meetings throughout the year, and are welcome at any time to submit requests for classes or events they would like to see offered, or to submit proposals for events or classes they would like to organize or teach.
What are the parent committments?
The commitments we ask of our members are pretty simple:
1) Be involved through volunteer activities such as assisting in the classroom, clean up, organizing socials, fundraising, etc.
2) Be involved in various volunteer projects for our building host, Jubilee REACH Center.
3) Be respectful of other members. We serve a broad base of homeschoolers from all walks of life and homeschooling styles.
4) Be responsible for your parent jobs.
What are parent jobs?
We ask one parent from each family to sign up for an ongoing set up, clean up, or break down job each year. Most jobs require a time commitment of 15 minutes each week and can be done on-site while your child is in class. We have a wide variety of jobs to choose from and our jobs coordinator can help you find one that’s right for you. For more information about jobs, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do I register?
See our registration page for details.
Where is EHPTSA located?
Our classes are held at Jubilee REACH Center, located at 14200 Southeast 13th Place Bellevue, WA 98007
Can I come by for a visit?
You are welcome to come by anytime we have classes. However, it would be best to schedule a time so we can arrange for someone to meet you and give a tour. To schedule a visit, please email email@example.com.
When does EHPTSA meet?
For the 2017-2018 school year, we will have classes Mondays and Fridays from 10am-2:30pm.
Do parents need to remain in the building during classes?
Yes, parents are required to remain on campus while their children are in classes. You have the option to “sign out” your child to another adult, if needed. We have a family room and outside space with a playground for parents and siblings to use while students are in class. If your child is 12 years or older, you may apply for a waiver from the Board to allow your child to attend without parental supervision.
How much are the class fees?
Class tuition is set by the Instructor, usually ranging between $36 and $105 per 6-week session. The class fees are listed on the Class Schedule page. Fees schedule and associated dates can be found on the Registration page.
Membership and Class fees can be mailed or paid in person.

Do I sign-up for classes for the school year or per session?
Please register for classes with the intention of participating from September through May. For most classes, individual sessions are denoted only for payment purposes. There may be a few classes throughout the year which run for only one or two 6-week sessions. Those classes will be marked as such.
Can I join mid-year?
Yes, we accept new members anytime. If you have questions about whether a class is suitable to join mid-year, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
In case of dangerous weather, we will follow the Bellevue School District’s (BSD) emergency closure notice. If BSD schools are closed, EHPTSA classes will be canceled. If BSD schools are delayed by one or two hours, EHPTSA will start at 10A, 9A classes will be canceled for the day. The decision to close is usually made early in the morning by BSD. Check the Facebook page or your email or this website, prior to leaving on winter mornings.
